InterCare is searching for a fulltime Dental Laboratory Technician to join our team in Benton Harbor! 

The Dental Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of dental lab procedures to assist the dentist in creating removable prosthetics, according to policy and procedure of InterCare Community Health Network.

Provides clinical support and lab procedures for dental provider

  • Pours impressions as requested by dentist

  • Repairs existing partial or full dentures

  • Fabricates base plates, custom impression trays and wax rims per doctor’s specifications

  • Mounts articulated models on an articulator and records bite relations as indicated

  • Sets denture teeth per doctor’s prescription

  • Wax, process and finish removable dental appliances

  • Operate and maintain instruments, equipment and inventory

  • Maintains records relative to work performed

Experience and Skills:

Job duties require knowledge and training in the field of dental laboratory technician, typically acquired during the completion two- year associates degree or a certificate program.

  • Working knowledge of dental lab equipment and a broad range of materials to create tooth replacements that are realistic and aesthetically pleasing, as well as functional.

  • Ability to do precision work with hands, work independently and an attention to detail.

  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of accepted sterilization and safety protocols, Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals and OSHA standards.
